FAQ
What is the main difference?
Mentimeter is designed for live presentations with audience input. Trivana is designed for trivia specifically, with generation from source material, link-based distribution, on-screen questions, and automatic scoring.
Can I still use Trivana in a live meeting?
Yes. Share the same link in the meeting chat and every attendee can read, answer, and receive a score on their own device. A facilitator controls the shared meeting experience.
Does Trivana support live polls or Q&A?
Not as its primary use case. Trivana is purpose-built for multiple-choice trivia with on-screen questions and reusable Standard Host moments. Eligible Smart Host packs can add prepared outcome reactions. For general polling or Q&A, Mentimeter remains the closer fit.
Can I generate questions from a slide deck or document?
Topic-based creation works without a plan, from 50 coins a show. Creator Pro supports selected PDF and URL sources. Current formats and limits are shown in the builder, and generated questions should be reviewed before publishing.
What does it cost?
Trivana Play lets anyone play free; a new game is 50 coins with 5 questions included (a new account starts with 500 coins), Creator Pro at $11/month includes 50 questions and 1,000 coins a month, and Creator Pro + Smart Host at $29/month includes up to 100 questions and 5,000 coins. Selected URL and PDF sources are paid creator features; prepared reactions require a successful eligible Smart Host production run.
